• Coming up on the 25th anniversary of 9-11, we are starting to hear more about Do Not Forget.    It’s getting more important as no one under 30 has any memory of that day.   We should remember those that were in the towers and planes, the first responders, and all of us who experienced the terrible day.  We need to work together as Americans to be aware and ready.  We need to invest in a strong military, that have divisions that take new technologies to the next level.   We need the smartest commanders, not just the ones that look best in a uniform or have the highest testosterone.

We cannot forget who our friends are and help keep the US safe- where information must come worldwide and combined strength wards off those wanting to do us harm.  We should not forget on 9-11 Canada welcomed over 225 planes as we closed our airspace.  Including Gander Newfoundland that welcomed 38 planes and over 7000 people. Our Canadian friends stepped up to feed and welcome in their stranded guests.  The Royal Canadian Air Force stepped in immediately to help us get through the days and weeks ahead.   The bi-national NORAD is the eyes and ears of North America defense, then and now the most important partnership for the US.    NATO, for the first time declared Article 5 in which all members pledged to step up and help the US in whatever was needed.   At the time no one knew what had happened and what was next.   From October to May NATO AWAC radar surveillance aircraft, and 800 NATO personnel patrolled US skies.    80,000 Canadians gathered at Parliament Hill for a National Day of Mourning, to show support for their US neighbors.

9-11 was orchestrated by Saudi’s. And now we are going to make Saudi Arabia nuclear, because it’s a smart business move?   And we vilify Canada and our NATO allies.  Do Not Forget

  • Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts on Mom’s birthday.  Because of the impending storm we had to change up our plans a little,  Skip and Claire and I had supper with her Saturday evening instead of Sunday brunch.  And niece Denise and friend stopped by afterward for Asti and cheese cake.  Mom was in good…

Marie sounds like she is making good progress and getting stronger.   And is having success dealing with the bags.  She did wonderfully through the funeral, now her and Chris…

  • Made it through another week.  Some good things this week.  I actually was caught up on most issues at work.    Chris’s flights to Albuquerque were smooth and she landed early.   Even though we lost Aunt Lottie the service and mass were very nice and it was a celebration of 95 years.  Up here in Green…

  • The start of another week.   Last week went pretty well, even with the snow that we got.  Mostly light and fluffy.  We had snow Thursday, and more on Friday night.  Saturday morning I cleaned up the driveway and then we took some time for ourselves.   We went to take a look at some cars, and we…

  • Another week underway. We were supposed to have some light snow today.   When I went downstairs this morning they said we had maybe an inch and we would have 1-3.  So I went out to quick clean off the driveway;  I like to get it clean before a bunch of cars drive on it during…
