9-11 Anniversary

Coming up on the 25th anniversary of 9-11, we are starting to hear more about Do Not Forget.    It’s getting more important as no one under 30 has any memory of that day.   We should remember those that were in the towers and planes, the first responders, and all of us who experienced the terrible day.  We need to work together as Americans to be aware and ready.  We need to invest in a strong military, that have divisions that take new technologies to the next level.   We need the smartest commanders, not just the ones that look best in a uniform or have the highest testosterone.

We cannot forget who our friends are and help keep the US safe- where information must come worldwide and combined strength wards off those wanting to do us harm.  We should not forget on 9-11 Canada welcomed over 225 planes as we closed our airspace.  Including Gander Newfoundland that welcomed 38 planes and over 7000 people. Our Canadian friends stepped up to feed and welcome in their stranded guests.  The Royal Canadian Air Force stepped in immediately to help us get through the days and weeks ahead.   The bi-national NORAD is the eyes and ears of North America defense, then and now the most important partnership for the US.    NATO, for the first time declared Article 5 in which all members pledged to step up and help the US in whatever was needed.   At the time no one knew what had happened and what was next.   From October to May NATO AWAC radar surveillance aircraft, and 800 NATO personnel patrolled US skies.    80,000 Canadians gathered at Parliament Hill for a National Day of Mourning, to show support for their US neighbors.

9-11 was orchestrated by Saudi’s. And now we are going to make Saudi Arabia nuclear, because it’s a smart business move?   And we vilify Canada and our NATO allies.  Do Not Forget

July 2026

In June we were into our apartments in Wisconsin. Marie was very happy when she saw her new apartment and has settled in well. Once we worked out TV and internet, things were even better. Verizon offered a special deal on internet which has worked out better than I thought. Then we worked on catching […]

Working our way to the end of May and taking care of our last appointments (as you get older there seems to be more), so we thought maybe time to hit the road. We made a couple of plans and started to pack. We put some things in place, started cleaning refrigerators, and got the […]

2026 April 30

So again, as I get older I get slower! I cannot believe it has been so many months since I have posted. We seem to be busy all the time, I have many less rounds of golf this year; maybe I just move slower. But we have had fun the last 4 months. Special time […]

Christmas Eve 2025

2025 is coming to an end. The years really do fly by, which should not be surprising since the days and weeks also seem to fly by. We give thanks for all the positives this year; Chris and I remain healthy, we were able to travel and made new memories with Marie and Mary Jane. […]
